A step-by-step guide to building your brand new Carl's Place Pro Enclosure Golf Studio Package with video + PDF downloads!
So, you’ve just ordered your Carl’s Place Pro Golf Enclosure Package from PlayBetter.com — congrats! You're one step closer to a commercial-grade golf simulator setup that turns your space into a world-class hitting bay. While the full instruction manual and video walkthrough are your go-to resources, we’ve created this guide to help you get set up faster—and without second-guessing yourself.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
-
Your full enclosure kit (pipes, fittings, premium screen, ballistic-grade nylon, bungees, foam inserts, curtains, etc.)
-
A large enough space cleared (check the size you selected!)
-
At least one helper—this is a big enclosure and some steps require a second set of hands
-
A rubber mallet, measuring tape, step ladder, and level
Instruction Manual & Walkthrough Video
Use the official Pro Series instruction manual and this full build video as references while working through each step.
Step 1: Assemble the Frame
🧱 Start from the bottom
Lay out the floor footprint using the labeled steel pipe sections. Use the corner and T-connectors to build the rectangular base.
📏 Build up
Add vertical poles to each corner, then connect the top bars to complete the frame structure. This gives you the sturdy skeleton of your Pro enclosure.
🔧 Tip
Use a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer to ensure all pipe connections are tight and flush—this keeps the frame square and rock solid.
Step 2: Attach the Impact Screen
🪝 Center the screen
Align the premium impact screen with the front of the frame. It should be flush with the sides and have even spacing on all edges.
💥 Bungee in place
Use the included ball bungees to secure the screen through the grommets. Begin at the top center, then alternate side-to-side working outward for balanced tension.
📌 Pro Tip
You want firm tension but not excessive pull—just enough to absorb ball strikes without puckering or overstretching.
Step 3: Install Side & Ceiling Panels
🖤 Hang the ballistic nylon
Drape the heavy-duty black side and ceiling panels over the top crossbars and attach via the hook-and-loop strips.
🔒 Fasten all seams
Use the integrated hook-and-loop flaps to secure corners and side panels together for full enclosure coverage.
💡 Lighting tip
These panels help control ambient light and boost image quality from your projector.
Step 4: Add the Curtain System
🎭 Mount the track
Your enclosure comes with a curtain track system for additional protection. Install the included hardware to the ceiling of the frame per the manual.
🧵 Hang the curtain
Slide the blackout curtain onto the track and ensure it extends fully across the hitting area. This acts as an extra buffer for stray shots.
🛡️ Curtain bonus
It also helps control light and sound, making your setup feel more immersive.
Step 5: Optional Accessories
🧩 Foam Insert Kit
Slides 18–20 in this presentation show how to install the foam panels around your screen’s border. These absorb mishits and provide a polished, finished edge.
🔙 Back Cover Kit
Complete the enclosure with a rear cover and optional piping to fully contain your simulator space—perfect for garages or well-lit rooms.
Step 6: Final Checks
✅ Make sure:
-
All pipe connections are flush and secure
-
The screen is evenly tensioned
-
The nylon panels are properly aligned and sealed
-
Foam, curtains, and back cover are installed (if applicable)
🎯 You’re now ready to finish your build with a hitting mat, projector, and launch monitor!
