When Is the FlightScope Mevo+ Pro Package Upgrade Available?

The release of the Mevo+ Pro Package is scheduled for the January 2022 PGA Merchandise Show.

FlightScope will announce that Fusion Tracking technology will be available to all Mevo+ users. Fusion Tracking is an innovative combination of 3D Doppler tracking radar and image processing for unmatched data accuracy.

Fusion Tracking will benefit you Mevo+ portable launch monitor experience by improving the accuracy of all Mevo+ data parameters and giving you access to additional data parameters through the launch of the optional Mevo+ Pro Package.

How Can You Get the Mevo+ Pro Package Upgrade

After payment is received for Mevo+ Pro Package, you will open the FlightScope FS Golf app and it will reconfigure the Mevo+ hardware by using an electronic license key. When you purchase the Mevo+ Pro Package you will also be able to view the additional data in the third-party simulation software options such as E6 Connect and TGC2019.

Who Can Get a Mevo+ Pro Package Upgrade

  • All current Mevo+ owners who want to add more data parameters to your current Mevo+ launch monitor and simulator.

  • New Mevo+ customers who want to choose the new Pro Package with its additional data parameters at the time of purchase as an add-on. Or you can buy the Mevo+ and choose to power up with the Pro Package upgrade later.

  • Instructors and Golf Club Fitters who want an accurate tracking device that provides all the data you need for lessons and fittings at a reasonable price.

FlightScope Mevo Plus Price vs Mevo+ Pro Package Upgrade Price

So what's the dent in your wallet? The FightScope Mevo+ Pro Package will set you back $1,000—if you have the Mevo+ launch monitor already. If not, you will have to purchase the Mevo+ GLM for $1,999 and the Pro Package for a total cost of $2,999.

Keep in mind, the $1,000 Mevo+ Pro Package is a one-time fee and does not require a subscription.

The $2,999 price point might still be beyod the budget comfort zone for some home golf setups—but that’s the going price for a personal launch monitor now (with the exception of the freaky affordable of the Approach R10). It's way less than paying $4,000 more for a GC3 launch monitor or $21,000 more for a Trackman. Brands like Skytrak, FlightScope, and Garmin have come a long way to bring the personal launch monitor experience into the homes of average golfers who want to practice like pros.

FlightScope Mevo Plus Pro vs Garmin Approach R10

The FlightScope Mevo+ offers 16 data paremeters for $1,999, while the Mevo+ GLM with the Pro upgrade offers 27 data points for $2,999. This includes integration with TruGolf (E6 Connect), The Golf Club, and Creative Golf 3D.

A Doppler radar golf launch monitor as well, the Garmin Approach R10 also offers 16 data points (including Club Path metrics!) and simulation (although not as robust) for only $599!

Approach R10 data points include: Ball Speed, Launch Angle, Launch Direction, Club Head Speed, Club Path, Back Swing and Down Swing Times, Angle of Attack, Club Face Angle, Spin Rate, Spin Axis, Observed Ball Flight Range, Carry Distance, Total Distance, Smash Factor, Swing Tempo, and Apex Height.

The R10 is integrated with Garmin's own Home Tee Hero, TruGolf (E6 Connect), and Awesome Golf for your home golf simulator.

Mevo+ Pro Package Upgrade vs Skytrak

The FlightScope Mevo+ offers 16 data paremeters for $1,999, while the Mevo+ GLM with the Pro upgrade offers 27 data points for $2,999. This includes integration with TruGolf (E6 Connect), The Golf Club, and Creative Golf 3D.

The Skytrak launch monitor is a very robust home golf entertainment and practice system that is camera-based and has proven, excellent accuracy, especially indoors. It cost the same as the FlightScope Mevo+ without the Pro upgrade: $1,999.

Skytrak does not have Club Path, however. Data points include: Ball Speed, Launch Angle, Back Spin, Side Spin, Side Angle, Carry Distance, Roll and Total Distance, Clubhead Speed, Angle of Descent, Distance Offline—a 3D flightpath with Apex Height and Hang Time is then rendered using all of the previous data.

SkyTrak also offers robust simulation software compatibility, including the Golf Club 2019, TrueGolf E6 Connect, Creative Golf, Fitness Golf, and ProTee Play to make your home golf setup a blast!

Both the Skytrak and Mevo+ offer putting, while the Approach R10 does not.

What Are the Differences Between X3 and Mevo+ with the Pro Package?

You may be wondering about the differences between the X3 and the Mevo+ with the Pro Package since FlightScope is now offering the full D-Plane with the Mevo+ Pro Package. Below are some of the differences between the two products:

  1. The X3 is a full flight tracking radar whereas the Mevo+ is a limited flight tracking radar. Both the FlightScope X3 and the FlightScope Mevo+ will now be using our patented Fusion Tracking Technology.

  2. The FlightScope X3 offers the Environmental Optimizer allowing users to change environment and landscape conditions including altitude, wind speed, wind direction temperature, relative landing height, and humidity. The Mevo+ Pro Package will not include this feature.

  3. Both the X3 and Mevo+ offer chipping and putting in simulation software. However, the X3 will remain the only model that offers short game data for practice sessions. The X3 offers short game data such as club path, face angle, skid distance, and more. The Mevo+ Pro Package will not have this feature.
