The Bushnell Hybrid battery is a dual system. It uses CR2 batteries for Laser and USB for GPS. The device comes with a charging cable, carry case and CR2 battery so you can get started as soon as it's delivered to your door. The battery life should last you up to about 14-16 hours on a single charge (with GPS use). There is a display on the device that will let you know when it's time to give it a charge.
