Important Note on EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing) Requirements:

For those not opting for the Pipe Framing Kit add-on, we’ll guide you in sourcing 1-inch EMT (for DIY Series) or 2-inch (for Pro and Curved Series from your local hardware store. We'll provide all necessary details, including lengths and quantities required.

Note:

  • EMT is the US trade name of the material, however, the true outer diameter is 1.163" or 27mm for 1-inch and 2.197″ or 55.8mm for 2-inch.

Is the Square Golf launch monitor indoor only?

Yes. The Square Golf simulator is for indoor us only. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

Does the Square Golf simulator have club metrics?

Yes. Along with ball metrics, the Square offers Club Path, Face Angle, Dynamic Loft, and Angle of Attack. These requires included club shaft stickers.

Does the square Golf simulator provide putting?

Yes, the Square is an affordable golf launch monitor that actually lets you complete the entire hole. You can choose to autoputt each green if you’d like. Or you can select “concede” distances of either 2 feet, 3 feet, or 4 feet. On the green, you get a grid showing you break and slope. Golf simulator putting is never going to quite mimic an outdoor experience, but the Square Golf solution is actually one of the best ones out there.

What do I need to run the Square Golf launch monitor in my simulator?

If you’re using a PC or laptop, you’ll need Windows 11 or Windows 10 (Version 2004, OS Build 19041 or later) to run the Square Golf software. For those using a mobile device or tablet, the requirements are Android 10 or later for Android users, and iOS 13 or later for iPads and iPhones users. The Square works with the "Square Golf Home Edition" app, which you can get on the App Store, Google Play, or for a PC you can download it on the Square Golf website.

Do I need special Square Golf balls?

Yes. To get the best ball data accuracy, you need to use special Square Golf-issued marked golf balls. You get three of them with purchase and you can buy more as needed.

Does Square Golf simulator have subscription cost?

No. Driving Range, Closest to Pin, and Putting Practice are free with purchase. Virtual course play uses credits (comes with 1,000 free welcome credits = 55+ rounds). Basically, each hole costs uses one credit per player.

How many players can play on the Square Golf simulator?

You can play the lifelike courses on the Square with up to four players.

You you play GSPro with the Square Golf simulator?

Using the open API of GSPro sim software, you can (for now) connect to GSPro for free. And we hear that E6 is in the works.

How Much Space Do I Need for Square Golf + Carl's Place Studio?

When measuring for a golf simulator, make sure you take into account:

  • Buffer space: You don't want your golf simulator right up next to any walls or ceiling. Balls that contact the walls or ceiling can cause damage and have unwanted bounce back.
  • Footprint of the golf enclosure: Make sure to check the actual dimensions of the enclosure footprint. Our C-Series enclosures have built-in buffer space in the rear with the backset rear fitting.
  • Safe golfing distance away from the screen: For the safety of both the golfer and the screen, we recommend standing a minimum distance of 10 to 12 feet away from the screen.
  • Height of the golfer(s)
  • Length of the golf club(s)
  • Turf thickness, heating ducts, and soffits
  • Furniture and access to doorways

Per manufacturer policy, all Square Golf Indoor Launch Monitor Unit purchases are eligible for Free 30-Day Returns Only (not 60-Day Returns). Only shipment destinations within the United States are allowed.

Any product that is purchased from PlayBetter and resold is no longer valid for returns. Return requests must be initiated by original buyer and accompanied by original purchase receipt. Any units registered to another customer name other than the original buyer will NOT be eligible for returns or exchanges. 

SQUARE GOLF WARRANTY

Square Golf offers a 2-year warranty for the Square Golf device only covering defects in material or workmanship. This excludes damage from misuse, modifications, accidents, or natural events. During the warranty period, Square Golf will repair or replace the product with a new or refurbished unit.

To obtain service, return the product in protective packaging with proof of purchase. Repaired or replaced items are covered for the remainder of the original warranty.

SETTING UP YOUR DEVICE
PLEASE NOTE: Square Golf is for indoor use only, keep out of direct sunlight.
To set up your Square Golf Launch Monitor, place it on flat ground at the same height as the golf ball. Ensure the monitor is in a room with little to no sunlight, as direct sunlight can affect its performance. The front of the launch monitor should not directly face sunlight. The device captures ball and club data using high-speed cameras and built-in infrared LED lighting.

For accurate measurements, place the ball in the designated hitting area. The center of this area should be 42cm in front of the monitor when looking face on to the device and 23cm to the right. The tolerance and size of the hitting area is 15cm by 15cm.
