Additionally, FlightScope just unveiled a new host of Mevo Plus software features. These do not come preloaded on the Limited Edition model and some of the plans for pricing are still in the works, but there’s a lot to be excited about. Here’s what’s coming:

  • New FligtScope Software:
    • FlightScope Badger AI
    • FlightScope Shot Tracer
    • Environmental Optimizer for Mevo+ in the FS Golf app
    • FlightScope Planning Tool
    • Swing Trainer for Mevo, Mevo+, and X3

FlightScope Mevo+ Limited Edition Price

We’ll cover the details of each of these new enhancements below. But first, let’s talk price.

To get this new Limited Edition Mevo golf simulator, it’s going to set you back $3,499. That compared to the normal Mevo+ retail price of $2,199.

Of course, that normal model base price doesn’t include the Mevo+ Pro Package or Face Impact Location Software. To get both of those together would cost you another $1,349 through PlayBetter.com. So adding those features would bring the regular Mevo+ price to $3,548.

Whoa! We’re already seeing a savings of almost $50 with the new Limited Edition Mevo+ vs the standard model with the Pro Package and Face Impact add-ons.

And we haven’t even talked about the value of including some of the most famous golf courses in the world. Tracks like Pebble Beach, the Old Course at St Andrews, Bethpage Black, Harbour Town, the Greenbriar, and Banff Springs. Remember, you can’t buy those courses to add to a standard Mevo+. They’re only available with the Limited Edition model.

Plus there’s the updated look, which may or may not blow you away but is kind of cool in a limited-edition, exclusive kind of way.

Hmm… The Mevo Plus Limited Edition is starting to look like a hell of a bargain.

That is, if you think all of these add-ons are worth having. Let’s examine each of those.

The New Mevo Plus Limited Edition Look

It’s not exactly a full-blown overhaul, but FlightScope did tweak their classic red-and-white look for this new Limited Edition model.

Whereas the regular version has a red band at the top and the “FlightScope” brand name as the dominant visual, the Limited Edition version features an updated look that includes more overall white space with the FlightScope logo as the centerpiece and the words “Fusion Tracking” centered at the top. The overall look of the Limited Edition model is more muted or matte rather than what might be described as a bit more shiny white on the standard model.

The changes aren’t entirely drastic but they are certainly distinct. There’s no mistaking one model for the other.

Included Mevo+ Pro Package & Face Impact Location

Spoiler alert: There’s a very, very good chance that if you buy a Mevo Plus that you’re going to want the Pro Package and Face Impact Location software. Why? Because with the Pro Package you get:

  • Face to path
  • Face to target
  • Dynamic loft
  • Club path
  • Vertical swing plane
  • Horizontal swing plane
  • Low point
  • Vertical descent angle
  • Curve
  • Club speed profile
  • Club acceleration profile

And then the Face Impact Package allows you to see exactly where on the clubface you’re making contact. It’s a really useful game-improvement feature.

Fully unlocked, the Mevo Plus delivers far more data than any other golf launch monitor even close to its price point. And the other great benefit is that with FlightScope, there are no annual subscription fees.

So, yeah, to have the Mevo+ Pro Package and Face Impact Package included in this new Limited Edition model and at a lower price than what you’d pay to add them a la carte is very sweet!

FlightScope Software Releases at the 2024 PGA Show

Just announced as part of the 2024 PGA Show is a new suite of FlightScope software options.

FlightScope Badger AI

This revolutionary AI technology seamlessly integrates with FlightScope session data and other knowledge databases to empower golfers, teachers, and club fitters to fully leverage their data for enhanced performance.

With Badger AI, users gain access to sophisticated guidance, including tailored recommendations for online courses, instructive YouTube videos, detailed explanations of data metrics, benchmarks against PGA and LPGA standards, and more. It even provides tailored advice for fine-tuning golf equipment to maximize performance.

Users will be able to engage with Badger AI via voice command or typing within the FS Golf app.

Pricing and a schedule of availability for Badger AI have not yet been established. We’ll add information as it becomes available, so stay tuned.

FlightScope Shot Tracer

Here’s something really awesome! FlightScope is releasing its new Shot Tracer feature free of charge for all Mevo Plus customers!

Just like you see on golf broadcasts on TV, you’ll now be able to take a video of your swing, and then in the FS Golf app, you’ll be able to get a ball flight trace with data overlaid on top of the video. Super awesome!

Environmental Optimizer for Mevo+ in the FS Golf App

With the FlightScope Environmental Optimizer you’ll now be able to calculate the impacts of altitude, humidity, air temperature, wind speed, wind direction, and landing height. That means that you can change your effective environment without actually changing locations. You can now prepare for whatever types of conditions and gain an understanding of how climate variables affect your golf shots.

This feature was previously only available with FlighScope’s $15,000 X3 golf launch monitor. Now, Mevo+ users can find this option in the FS Golf app. But you do need the Mevo+ Pro Package to access it. Good thing the new Limited Edition model comes with that built in!

FlightScope Planning Tool

Got a golf trip coming up? The FlightScope Planning Tool will allow you to prepare for the weather conditions in your destination. Using your data and the local weather forecast for wherever you’re heading, you can now calculate carry distances for up to three days in advance on any golf course in the world.

How cool is that? No matter where in the world you’re planning to play, you can practice at home and see how far your shots would carry on the course you’re planning to play in a few days.

This could be a big-time advantage especially if you’ve got a tournament or otherwise competitive round coming up.

Pricing for this upgrade has not yet been announced.

Swing Trainer for Mevo, Mevo+, and X3

This new tool, available in the FS Golf app, allows you to monitor your swing speeds without having to hit an actual ball. This is a great option for people working on improving their swing speeds. You can use this tool with your normal golf clubs or with swing speed trainers like the Stack system or Swing Speed Sticks. If you want to hit it further, this is how you do it.

SkyTrak+ vs. FlightScope Mevo+ Limited Edition

The Mevo Plus and SkyTrak+ were already neck-and-neck, with a seemingly equal number of users and reviewers preferring one or the other. But now, with the Mevo+ Limited Edition including the Pro Package and Face Impact Location at a discounted price plus the inclusion of some of the world’s best simulated golf courses and many of the above-mentioned new software options, the race may not be quite as tight. FlightScope just threw down the gauntlet!

Bushnell Launch Pro vs. Mevo+ Limited Edition

This race may still be too close to call. Both of these devices offer unparalleled accuracy and data metrics. It likely comes down to whether you prefer to have a golf launch monitor that sets up to the side of the ball (Launch Pro) or from behind (Mevo+).

FlightScope Mevo+ Limited Edition Golf Simulator Package

This is where dreams come true. Can you imagine having a Mevo Plus golf simulator in your own home?! Yeah, ya can!

PlayBetter makes the whole process as easy as it can possibly be. No hunting around for every individual component and trying to make sure they all fit together. PlayBetter has a turnkey solution with the Mevo+ golf simulator package.

The Mevo Plus is compatible with:

  • TruGolf E6 Connect
  • The Golf Club 2019
  • Awesome Golf
  • Creative Golf 3D
  • GSPro

And if you buy the Limited Edition Mevo+, you get the exclusive iOS/PC E6 Connect package of 12 courses that cannot be purchased separately or elsewhere.

Sounds like you’re in for a lot of fun!

Is the Mevo Plus Limited Edition Worth It?

After examining this new FS Mevo+ vs Mevo+ Limited Edition situation, it’s quite apparent that the new Limited Edition offers tremendous value.

You get the Mevo+ Pro Package and Face Impact Location software for less money than you’d pay if you wanted to add them to a normal Mevo+. And you get some of the best all-time sim courses.

What’s not to love?

The only reason you may not want to consider a Limited Edition model is if you just want the bare-bones basics and aren’t interested in the added features.

Otherwise, this is kind of a no-brainer.

But how limited is this Limited Edition? We’ve got boots on the ground in Orlando at the 2024 PGA Show to ask questions exactly like that one. Keep it tuned to PlayBetter.com for ongoing show coverage.
