What Golf Simulator Software Works with the SkyTrak+?

SkyTrak Guide for All Your Simulator Options: Compatible Software, Hardware Requirements, and Costs Explained

When the SkyTrak+ first debuted, one of its strongest selling points was that it was compatible with a wide variety of third-party golf simulator software platforms.

The problem was that it didn’t include any of its own native SkyTrak+ golf simulator software. So, you were limited to just those third-party options.

Then, in 2024, SkyTrak launched Course Play to considerable excitement. The graphics were really good, the courses included major names like Pebble Beach, and the software was well executed and really enjoyable.

Then, in 2025, SkyTrak upped the ante again with an industry-first move when they partnered with both Trackman and Foresight Sports to offer two separate premium course libraries under the Course Play banner.

But there is a tradeoff for all of this good news. SkyTrak has discontinued official support for third-party simulator software for any new customers. That means platforms like The Golf Club 2019, Creative Golf 3D, and ProTee Play are no longer available for new purchases. Rest assured, customers with previously purchased lifetime plans will continue to have access to those with at least an Essentials Plan.

Still, the good news is that SkyTrak+ not only offers simulator courses from both Trackman and Foresight Sports, but in a space where most launch monitors force PC-only solutions, the SkyTrak+ maintains full native macOS support. If you’re a Mac user, you know how rare it is to find a launch monitor that actually works seamlessly with your setup.

Let’s break down each one of those golf simulator software options so that you’ll know what kind of computer you’ll need to run each one and what they will cost you.

SkyTrak+ and Course Play Compatibility

I mentioned earlier SkyTrak’s new Course Play native sim software. It’s phenomenal and includes very detailed course renderings from some of the best tracks in the world.

SkyTrak also improved their practice facilities, if you will, with several inventive, fun, and really effective ranges and challenges. Their overall software platform and app experience is now one of the best and most enjoyable to use.

And, as mentioned, this simulation platform works across PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.

SkyTrak has organized Course Play into multiple membership tiers:

Essential Plan ($129.99 per year): Includes the practice range library, skills assessments, bag mapping, game evaluation tools, and PinSeeker access. This is the foundation plan, but it doesn’t include simulator courses.

Core Foresight ($299.99 per year): Includes everything in Essential plus the Foresight Course Pack with 38-plus courses, Pebble Beach access, and one new course added monthly.

Core Trackman ($349.99 per year): Includes everything in Essential plus 39-plus Trackman courses (including Pebble Beach, Bethpage Black, and Royal Portrush), and one new course added monthly.

Elite ($599.99 per year): The complete package. Includes both Foresight and Trackman course libraries (70-plus courses combined), Pebble Beach access, and two new courses monthly.

What does it cost to play the SkyTrak+ Essential Plan and Course Play?

The Essential Plan, which really is essential if you want to use your SkyTrak+ for anything more than the most basic driving range function, costs $129.95 per year. Essential Plan features include an assortment of virtual ranges, skills assessments, equipment strategy refinement, and practice challenges.

For the Course Play package, which unlocks SkyTrak’s proprietary simulator golf courses, you must first have an active subscription to the Essential Plan. After that, the Course Play subscription costs $220 per year. So, your total annual cost would be $349.95.

SkyTrak+ and GSPro Compatibility

There is no official or supported compatibility between the SkyTrak+ and the very popular GSPro software platform. However, the software provides an open API that allows third-party developers to create a connection. While this method often requires additional setup, it enables the SkyTrak+ to work with GSPro.

What kind of computer do I need to run GSPro with the SkyTrak+?

GSPro is limited to PC-only use.

Recommended minimum hardware for 1080p play:

  • 10GB free space
  • GTX 3060
  • 16GB memory
  • Stable internet Connection
  • Ethernet port and/or BT depending on Launch Monitor

Recommended hardware for a great 1080p experience:

  • 20GB free space
  • RTX 3070/3060ti GPU
  • 16GB memory

Recommended hardware for a great 4k experience:

  • 20GB free space
  • RTX 3080 (or better) GPU
  • 32GB memory

What does it cost to play GSPro?

GSPro costs $250 per year.

SkyTrak+ and PinSeeker Compatibility

PinSeeker, is transforming sim golf with quick closest-to-the-pin challenges and immediate real-case payouts. It’s becoming wildly popular and requires only as much time as anyone cares to commit, with new contests starting constantly.

PinSeeker is fully integrated into the SkyTrak software ecosystem. It’s not a separate third-party platform you have to connect to. It’s built right in.

What kind of computer do I need to run PinSeeker with the SkyTrak+?

The PinSeeker app is fully integrated with most golf simulator software packages. Participants compete against other sim golfers who are using the exact same simulator software.

So, hardware requirements for PinSeeker are the same as whatever simulator software you are using. There are no additional requirements.

What does it cost to play PinSeeker?

Because PinSeeker comes integrated with a compatible simulator software package, there is no additional cost to use PinSeeker. However, golfers have the choice to wager money in closest-to-the-pin contests against similar-skilled players who are using the same simulator software. Options range from free contests to buy-ins of more than $100.

SkyTrak+ Allows for Golf Simulator Software Flexibility

The SkyTrak+ still gives you great options when it comes to golf simulator software. And that’s even after they’ve discontinued their official partnerships with third-party software providers.

Whether you want premium courses from Trackman and Foresight through Course Play, or you’re willing to tinker with an unofficial GSPro connection, the SkyTrak+ can handle it.

And if you’re a Mac user who’s been frustrated by your lack of golf simulator options, this is the perfect device for you. Full native macOS support is rare in this space.

If there’s a downside to the SkyTrak+ simulator experience, it’s that you’ll be required to pay annually for the Essential Plan. But that plan does open up a menu of the most fun and engaging practice options of any software platform.

Having a golf launch monitor already renowned for great accuracy and in-house software that’s gotten so good makes the SkyTrak+ a very compelling golf simulator choice.
