Assembly
-
Is the SimStudio portable?
-It is semi-permanent and can be slid out of the way, but frequent moving may weaken the Velcro and usually requires two to three people. -
How long does assembly take?
-Initial setup takes about one hour, reassembly takes 45 minutes or less, and disassembly takes 10 to 15 minutes. -
How much space is needed around the studio?
Six inches of clearance on all sides is recommended, with a minimum of two to three inches, and the ceiling must allow a full swing with your longest club.
SimStudio Sizes & Dimensions
-
Can I customize the size of a SimStudio?
No, SimStudio bundles are available only in standard sizes. -
What’s the difference between the 12’ and 13’ studios?
Both studios use the same materials and overall design, but the 13’ studio features a larger impact screen and deeper sidewalls for a more immersive and confidence-inspiring experience, especially for beginners and kids; the 12’ studio is 8'6" tall, while the 13’ studio is 10' tall with significantly deeper sidewalls. -
Are the listed dimensions the maximum enclosure size?
Yes, the dimensions shown on the website represent the full enclosure footprint.
Impact Screen
-
Is the impact screen safe for driver shots?
Yes, the impact screen is designed to handle full driver swings, including high swing speeds. -
Will the screen have wrinkles?
Minor wrinkles are normal initially and typically relax after a few days of hanging, and the screen should not be overly tight to help prevent excessive ball rebound. -
Can I iron or heat-treat the screen?
No, ironing, heat, or harsh treatments are not recommended and may damage the screen. -
How do I clean the impact screen?
Clean the screen using mild, non-harsh soap such as dish soap, and note that dirt is usually not noticeable while projecting.
Hitting & Putting Mats
-
What hitting mat is included?
A 5’ × 5’ premium hitting mat designed to mimic real turf and absorb impact. -
What is the hitting mat construction?
The mat features 32mm knitted nylon turf, a 3mm urethane stabilizing layer, and a 14mm foam base. -
Does the mat accept real tees?
Yes, though tees do not go fully through the mat, so many users cut wooden tees or use simulator-specific rubber tees. -
Are tees included?
No, tees are not included, and standard rubber simulator tees are recommended while honeycomb or wiffle-style tees should be avoided. -
Is green residue on clubs normal?
Yes, minor residue is normal, wipes off easily, and occasional vacuuming helps reduce buildup. -
Does the mat require additional padding?
No, additional padding is not necessary. -
What putting turf sizes are available?
Sim 8 is 8’ wide by 6’ deep, Sim 10 is 10’ wide by 6.6’ deep, Sim 12 is 12’ wide by 6.6’ deep, and Sim 13 is 13’ wide by 6.6’ deep, all at ¼” thick. -

No, the putting turf is thinner, and most users putt directly from the hitting mat.
Projector & Mounting
-
How far from the screen should the projector be mounted?
Sim 10 and Sim 12 require approximately 9.5 feet, while the Sim 13 Deep requires about 11 feet. -
How long is the projector power cord?

Does the projector get power through HDMI?
No, HDMI carries video and audio only, so the projector must be plugged into a power outlet. -
Is an HDMI cable included?
Yes, a 25-foot HDMI cable is included, though adapters may be required depending on your device. -
Does the enclosure include a projector mount if I don’t buy a projector?
Yes, the mounting pole is included, but projector-specific hardware is not.
Image Setup & Aspect Ratio
-
Can the projector switch between 4:3 and 16:9?

How do I fill the entire screen?
The projector may need to be positioned farther back than the pole allows, so ceiling or floor mounting combined with software adjustments works best.
Sound, Weight & Stability

How much does the setup weigh?
