COROS POD 2: Run Beyond the Limits of GPS

The POD 2 solves GPS watch technology's most common problems during running, including data lag, weak signal, and satellite disruption. By tracking movement directly from your foot, the POD 2 improves accuracy and pace sensitivity to help you train smarter and more efficiently.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Meet the all-new COROS POD 2. A lightweight, water-resistant watch accessory that clips onto your shoe or waistband for next-level running data accuracy. With optimized sensor hardware and intuitive software algorithms, the POD 2 measures your run directly from your foot or body movements. It connects to your COROS watch to provide real-time data, so you can always train or race with the right information.

Say Goodbye To Data Lag
With the advanced accelerometer in the POD 2, you'll receive data directly from your foot to create the most responsive pace displayed on your watch. The POD 2 removes the up to 10-second delay caused by GPS watches wrist sensors. With the built-in pace alert, your COROS watch paired with the POD 2 ensures you can stay within your targeted pace in nearly real-time, instead of waiting for your data to catch up, even when there is no GPS signal.

A Reliable Way To Measure Distance Indoors
With accurate pace detection, the POD 2 measures the exact distance you've run, even when indoors. By plotting the motion of your foot through space on an XYZ plane, the POD 2 automatically calibrates itself to calculate your stride and the distance you've run on a treadmill, or an indoor track. COROS POD 2 will be your perfect training partner for indoor running workouts in winter, or when the weather is bad.

Improved Track Where GPS Signal Is Weak
GPS technology can experience interference. Running through tunnels or the first few miles of the Chicago marathon between
skyscrapers not only disrupts your watch's pace and distance data, but also creates messy GPS tracks. That's where the POD 2 steps in. With data gathered from various internal sensors, the POD 2 is able to auto-correct GPS disruptions such as pace spikes and drops. Your COROS watch works collaboratively with the POD 2 to improve data consistency during your runs.

A Comprehensive Metric For All Of Your Training
Not all running terrain is perfectly flat. Effort Pace is a unique COROS metric that tells you how hard you're actually working when on hilly terrain. With instantaneous data input from COROS POD 2, your Effort Pace becomes even more accurate. The POD 2 makes your Effort Pace 5x more responsive than standard GPS, so you can make split-second decisions and better analyze your overall exertion once a workout has ended.

Love the accuracy

"I’ve been using the COROS POD 2 for a few weeks, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its accuracy. It consistently provides detailed and reliable metrics that have helped improve my training sessions. The setup process was straightforward, and it integrates seamlessly with my COROS watch. Whether I’m tracking pace, stride length, or cadence, the data has been spot on and invaluable for refining my running technique. Highly recommended for anyone serious about their running performance!"

Solid little accessory

"This little guy is actually pretty neat little piece of tech to accompany your Coros watch. If you’re like me and annoyed when you’re doing forms of intervals and you speed up and glance at your watch to see how fast your going, and it hasn’t even begun to change yet from your slower pace you just came out of! This alleviates that, and changes in speed/pace are almost instant which is really nice. I haven’t used it on a treadmill yet, but I would imagine it would be far more accurate than measuring from the wrist, so I’m excited to try that out. The battery life claims seem to be pretty spot on, and it’s nice they provide two clips for the sensor for your shoe so you can just keep it on shoes you wear normally for runs. I also like that it actually measures and tracks the temp as your running which is helpful during the hot summer months. My only wish is that it would’ve been a bit cheaper. It should be like $69.99 or $79.99, because even with the pod 2, Coros is still lagging behind feature and overall experience wise to Garmin. The only thing they’ve got a firm strangle hold on at being the best at is battery life, and I’ve actually found their All Systems GPS setting to be even more accurate on known distance courses than I’ve gotten with my Forerunner 965 on Dual Band Frequency mode, so that’s actually kind of nice. I’ll take battery life and accuracy to be more important than some other features they won’t really offer right now. They definitely need to step up their mapping game, but I think they’ll get there!"
