Another PGA Show in the books — and wow.
If you thought 2025 was impressive, get ready, because 2026 is on another level entirely.
The state of golf tech right now is wild. Features are getting smarter, more powerful, and frankly… kind of unbelievable. We’re seeing devices do things we wouldn’t have thought possible just a year ago.
There’s no chance we could cover everything we saw. It’s just too much. But some products forced us to stop, stare, and immediately start rethinking our recommendations for the year ahead.
This year felt like a shift. Less “slightly better,” more “wait, how did they pull that off?”
Competition is heating up — and that’s exactly what golfers want. Better gear, better pricing, and real choice.
Here’s the golf simulator software upgrades you'll want to know that truly stood out in Orlando.
Huge Home Tee Hero Upgrades! Garmin R10 and R50 Users Get FREE Improvements!
Garmin just went live with significant updates to their native Home Tee Hero golf simulator software. Garmin R10 users will now have free access to the graphically improved course renderings that were previously exclusive to R50 users. That means more lifelike, realistic details on their catalog of 43,000-plus golf courses. Pair that with a new R10 retail price of only $500 or a Certified Refurbished R10 for only $408, and the product that started the whole affordable golf simulator craze is still plenty relevant. Additionally, R10 and R50 users will enjoy new Enhanced Courses, meaning an even greater level of detail and engagement on the most famous tracks in the world like Pebble Beach, Augusta National, TPC Sawgrass. Not only that, but Home Tee Hero users can now follow along with the PGA Tour schedule and play the same courses each week as the pros. Plus, for the first time, golfers can practice any shot on any golf course repeatedly without having to play the entire hole. Home Tee Hero remains a $9.99-per-month or $99-per-year subscription for Garmin Golf users.

Uneekor Shows Off Most Complete AI Coaching Software We’ve Ever Seen
Uneekor unveiled AIMY, an AI-powered coaching software prototype scheduled for release in the second half of 2026. Compatible with all Uneekor simulators, AIMY delivers real-time verbal and written feedback after every swing, assigning each shot a “swing score” while identifying specific swing flaws. The breakthrough is that it focuses on one consistent issue at a time rather than overwhelming you with several different fixes. If you’re fighting an over-the-top move, AIMY coaches you through correcting that specific problem across multiple swings, giving you verbal encouragement and tips for physical adjustments. You can also ask it to help you with whatever you want to work on. And you get side-by-side video comparison with a pro swing, plus detailed session summaries emailed after every practice session. You will need two Uneekor swing cameras to use AIMY and we don’t yet know what the software package will cost, but man, is it exciting.

Square Is About to Level Up Its Simulator Experience in a Big Way
At the PGA Show, Square previewed a completely revamped simulator platform coming alongside the new Omni Edition—and it looked significantly more polished, immersive, and expansive than anything we’ve seen from them before. Expect a cleaner, more advanced user interface, noticeably upgraded graphics, and a growing library of courses that finally matches the Omni’s serious hardware capabilities. The new driving range was a standout, including a stunning night range complete with stars overhead, and Square confirmed expanded practice options designed to make training feel less repetitive and far more engaging. While final details are still under wraps, the takeaway was clear: when the $1,600 Square Omni launches this March, users should expect a dramatically improved, next-generation simulator experience—no subscription required—that feels every bit as capable as the most popular budget-to-midrange systems on the market.
